Call To Action
The call to action this week is to begin journaling your distractions as Katie recommends, both the minor ones you want to flush from your mind and the major ones you need to take with you to prayer.
- Lectio Divina, or “divine reading” is a traditional way of listening and talking with God through Scripture. Learn more about the four steps of lectio divina here.
- Download the 1% Challenge 30-day kick-start Bible reading plan, a simple list of 30 Gospel verses to use daily as you start the challenge and get to know Jesus better. It’s a helpful handout to print and place inside your Bible and serve as a prompt during daily time with Jesus.
- Katie recommends Time for God: A Guide to Prayer by Fr. Jacques Philippe as a favorite book on prayer.
- The Daily Examen comes from the spiritual works of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The examen is also a helpful aid in establishing a daily prayer routine. Learn more about the daily examen here.
